A helpful message for your child's teachers

Print this off to carry with the Irlen spectacles;

Dear Teacher,

    ___________________________________________   has a Visual Perceptual Dysfunction which causes hypersensitivity to fluorescent and bright lighting, headlights, high contrast, and patterns.

This individual is wearing specialized coloured glasses, not sunglasses.

These lenses lower stress and enhance visual efficiency.

They are to be worn for reading/writing-based activities and other visually-intensive activities as decided by the wearer.

Although the lenses may appear dark, they do not reduce clarity or visibility.
