Andrea Kaijser is in Uganda for 10 weeks ! It has been her desire to help others, to make a difference to people in need. She has the skills that Africa needs, so she has volunteered for a short term position there through African Inland Mission. The travel costs and accommodation are all at her own expense. Andrea is working at the Ruharo Eye Clinic at Mbarara, in Southern Uganda, approximately 280kms from the capital Kampala. Ruharo Eye Centre is a project implemented by Ankole Diocese of Uganda, founded in 1984. |

The clinic she applied for made a special request for her to bring as many childrens frames over with her, as they had none. This is a photo of her taken before she left with over 600 children's spectacle frames donated from our very generous suppliers, Euro Optics, General Optical and Phoenix Optical. She had to buy an extra suitcase to carry them all! We are very proud of her courage and commitment to making a difference.
